Loved this dear nightlake ~ it took me into two different realities and reinforced the joy of remembering the child within. Fantastic content in such few words! x Robyn
I’m hanging in – but last few weeks have been especially tough ~ today was improved – fingers crossed. Soon to go in for more medical tests and consults — not looking forward…but keeping hope alive ~ thank you for asking…appreciate you!
Hope it works for you, Robyn, and that no more surgeries are required
I an attempt to catch up on things I am thanking you for your visit to June 6th Friday Fictioneers…
I tried looking to see if you also posted a story for that prompt. But I couldn’t find it.
I enjoy the haiku form and your haiku is a wonderful generational piece.
This month I am attempting on my short verse site, (which I’ve switched the icon link in this comment to…)
use haiku and hakiu series. Cheers. Jules

This reminds me of my childhood when I tried to count stars. I always lost track, but that didn’t stop me from counting again and again.
Thank you for the memory.
Glad it brought back happy memories for you. Thank you, Susan:)
Stars are beautiful to watch
They are. Thank you, Yoshiko
I like this poem. Short like a dagger and just as piercing. Nice job! 🙂

Yes, a child views everything with wonder, but the night watchman cannot wait for the day so that he can go home. Thank you so much for reading
I loved it…but maybe I was wanting more as well.
That is very encouraging that you want to have more of this poem. Thank you so much for visiting
